Nice to meet you!
Meet Noelle, Owner of Sugartree & Seashells, and a self-proclaimed drifter and daydreamer. She's a Midwest girl at heart - hailing from the muddy floodplains of the Missouri River. Having lived in nearly every corner of the U.S., she now resides in sultry South Carolina with her tall, dark, and handsome husband, their two amazing teenage children, one adorable Frenchie, and an annoyingly neurotic, but fiercely loyal min-pin mix.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in geography and geology and a master’s in secondary science education. She pursued a promising career in engineering and sustainable land development before moving to the education scene where she taught college-level physical geography labs and high school earth & space science, biology, and AP Environmental Science. Between teaching contracts, she has documented archeological sites in the Mojave and offered services as a certified interpretive guide and a three-time master naturalist.
A nature-loving introvert, you’d be lucky to find her avoiding crowds and instead trekking through the trees, kayaking gator-infested rivers, snorkeling in the Caribbean, hiking mountain trails, and capturing a few photographs of our incredible planet Earth to share along the way. When she's not wandering around in nature, she spends time researching family history and writing about this wild, but wonderful life.
Noelle is obsessed with nearly all things pre-Y2K and mostly loathes social media. She runs 5ks, albeit very slowly, and turns to scripture when things get a little crazy. She established Sugartree & Seashells in 2023 as a creative outlet for a busy mind.
